![]() Membership is open to anyone of the Jewish faith, 18 years or older. Any family with at least one Jewish spouse/partner or any household with at least one Jewish person may apply for membership. Membership entitles each couple, family, household, or individual participation in the religious and secular activities that the congregation sponsors. There are two types of membership available: Single Unit: shall consist of one adult and any children under the age of 25 who either are full time students or are unmarried and living in the same household, all of whom shall be members of the congregation for all purposes, except that only the adult member of the Single Unit shall be entitled to vote or hold office. Family Unit: shall consist of two adults residing in the same household and any children under the age of 25 who are either are full time students or are unmarried and living in the same household, all of whom shall be members of the congregation for all purposes, except that only the two adult members of the Family Unit shall be entitled to vote or hold office. Application for membership is made by completing a membership form. All dues payments include tickets for all High Holy Day services. For information on the current dues schedule and discounts for members under age 35, please contact the congregation. Congregation Shaarei Shalom will not refuse membership to anyone because of an inability to fulfill their dues obligations. Those seeking a modification of the dues schedule may contact the congregation. Procedures are established for preserving the privacy of those who may request a payment modification. |
