What kind of music do you have?
Our music can best be described as eclectic, ranging from the most traditional of melodies to the newest offerings by Jewish song writers. Our cantor's voice and guitar lead us in music that is both accessible and easily participatory.

What about other instruments?
The playing of tambourines by congregants is a regular part of our Friday evening services. Occasionally, we have piano music at special services throughout the year and always during High Holy Days, which this year we will also include a flutist and on Kol Nidre the addition of the violin. We have Percussionists and Klezmer music on festivals, holidays, and special occasions.

Do you need to read Hebrew?
No, prior knowledge of Hebrew is not necessary in order to feel comfortable. Our prayer book is in English and in Hebrew and contains transliteration so everyone can participate!
Does the rabbi deliver a sermon or offer any discussion or study of Torah?
Yes! The Rabbi provides a sermon during each Friday evening service in which he stresses the relevancy of each week's Torah portion to our lives today. Every Saturday morning service includes the reading of the Torah and a discussion, which focuses on various interpretations and rabbinic commentaries on the week's portion and excerpts from our many sacred texts.

What if one member of our household is not of the Jewish faith?
We welcome interfaith families and encourage participation in our services and programming by all family members.
